"Splitska tiramola" is traditional exhibition of young unestablished authors with humanitarian character."Tiramola"is dalmatian word for rope that is used for drying clothes between two houses or two neighboring windows.
The photographs are taken in Split, a city that is eternal inspiration to their citizens.

Diocletian’s Roman Guard Shift
Enjoy one of the most spectacular happenings in the Old Town of Split.The guard shift performance takes place every day from May 15 to September 27 exactly at noon (12.00h) at Peristyle. The Emperor Diocletian appears with 6 soldiers, greets the mass and holds the appropriate speech inviting the guests to his Palace.

Celebration of Sailing: Regatta of Mrduja
Yes, it's time for the 86th Regatta of Mrduja!As it is usual every last Saturday in September, about 300 sailing boats of all sizes will gather in and in front of the Split city port.This regatta had been organized by YC Labud since 1927. and only Trieste's Barcolana is bigger in the Adriatic.One of the things that make this race so great is that really anyone with basic sailing skills can participate on its 22 miles long route.

St.Duje was the archbishop of nearby Salona (Solin) in the 3rd century and was martyred with 7 other Christians under the persecutions of the Emparor Diocletian. The Cathedral of Saint Domnius is regarded as the oldest Catholic cathedral in the world that remains in use in its original structure.On the Feast of Saint Domnius various events take place within the old town, starting with a mass and procession on the promenade "Riva".

World Championship in Picigin
Picigin is traditional ball game from Split that is played on the beach. It is an amateur sport played in the shallow water consisting of players keeping a small ball from touching the water.Picigin is originated played on the sandy beach Bačvice in Split. It was first played in 1908 by a group of Croatian students from Prague who were finding it difficult to play the game of water polo in the shallow water.There is also a long-standing tradition of playing picigin on New Years Day regardless of weather conditions, when the sea temperature is rarely above 10 °C.In June 2008, picigin was pronounced a Croatian immaterial cultural good, for a period of three years, and it is planned to get a permanent protection after that.The World Championship in picigin is held in June.
